Steelhead fishing was good over the holiday break, but probably has slowed now with the deep freeze.
This should be another good week as steelhead fishing remains strong with lots of fish in the river system. Those fly fishing have done well but those casting small spoons have also caught a few fish. There are still plenty of chrome fish in the river.

This week should be a great week for steelhead fishing as the warm temperatures will increase catch rates. Some really nice fish have been caught below Tippy Dam by those fly fishing or pitching small spoons.
Still has good steelhead fishing with fresh fish being caught by boat anglers drifting and shore anglers up near Tippy Dam.
Continues with good steelhead action as more fish moved up into the river.
Fresh steelhead did move into the river after the recent rain. The number of fish in the river did come up but fishing techniques tend to change with the higher water as fish are on the move and not wanting to bite. Try bigger and brighter spoons or flies during high water. Those fishing up near Tippy Dam did manage to catch a few leftover coho.
Steelhead fishing continues with some nice fish caught below Tippy Dam. Changes in weather calls for changes in gear, bring a variety of spoons, spinners, and flies.
Coho were still being caught up near Tippy Dam. Steelhead action continues to increase with some very nice fish caught throughout the river. Some are using small spoons or spinners while others are using eggs and flies.
The chinook run is on the downslide but a fair number of coho were still up near Tippy Dam. Anglers are starting to see a good number of steelhead.
Rain did bring some steelhead in and those fly fishing caught some nice fish all the way up to Tippy Dam. As the salmon run winds down, steelhead fishing will pick up.
Fresh fish are still moving all the way up to Tippy Dam. A few coho are still around along with a fair number of steelhead. This weekend could still be good but the run is nearing its peak and could be on the downslide by next week.
