Anglers are reporting a good run of salmon. Those fishing below Tippy Dam are catching salmon and steelhead or brown trout above the dam.
Has a good number of salmon in the river with lots of angler activity up near Tippy Dam.
Is producing some large chinook salmon. Overall; the fish caught are much bigger than the past couple years. Anglers are reminded that the Little Manistee River is closed to fishing from the weir downstream to Manistee Lake.
Brook trout and brown trout were hitting on flies in the upper river. Salmon are in the river but no big numbers yet.

Steelhead fishing will most likely be done by the time water levels come back down.
Steelhead fishing is still going strong, but should start winding down soon. Some nice chrome fish have been caught up at Tippy Dam. There should still be some fish for the trout opener this weekend though high water levels will certainly cause muddy water for the opener. Bait anglers will score best when using crawlers.
